#4) Maxi Dresses!

The trend for skirts and dresses this Spring is wide at the bottom and floor length hems. What we mean is that the skirts and dresses are form fitting at the top and wide, loose, and flowing at the bottom. These skirts and dresses are called "Maxi". The maxi dress is not new. It is a very popular bohemian look started in the 1970's and has never fully disappeared, luckily! Maxi skirts and dresses work for all shapes and sizes. They are perfect for the hot weather since the fabrics tend to be light and airy so they will not stick to you and make you feel uncomfortable. Maxi dresses tend to be on the more casual side. They are great for throwing on over a bathing suit after a day at the pool or beach as well as for a casual day of shopping or brunch with friends. However, not all Maxi dresses are casual. There are plenty of more formal dresses that can be worn at night when you are dressing up.

Rules To LIVE by when SHOPPING!!

"Trends Fade but Fashion is Forever"

This week we decided NOT to blog on a specific style but a “How To” & this is “How to Shop” & going back to Shopping BASICS!

Three Rules to Live by when Shopping:

1.) If you are thinking about buying something.. ALWAYS ask yourself? “DO I LOVE IT”? If the answer is yes! Obviously indulge! If it’s a Maybe, then think about it our ask someone for a second opinion. And If you don’t LOVE it then NO NO NO! Pass & find something you CAN’T live without!

2.) Shop for your body!! Too many times people shop things that they think are “cute” but don’t think about the fit and whether or not it will be FLATTERING on them! There are plenty of pieces I LOVE but honestly, could NEVER wear! Think about your favorite outfits in your closet and how they fit… What are they? Shop for something along the same lines.

3.) This might sound weird but it would be our FIRST PRIORITY when setting out to go shopping. Here goes... GET READY! We mean do your hair, do your make up, feel CUTE and look presentable! We know you know exactly what we are talking about! We have all gone shopping after the gym or a long day and just DON’T feel cute! NOTHING is going to appeal to you when you don’t even appeal to yourself! However, when you are “ready” you can get a better feel of what the outfit will truly look like and you feel CONFIDENT! And feeling CONFIDENT is almost EVERYTHING!

TRENDY TUESDAY: Denim it is!!!!

SKINNY 411:

Skinny Jeans are a snug/tight fit around your whole leg. It is a great jean for any oversized shirt you might wear. Because you are able to do baggy up top and tight on bottom, showing off your cute body. They are amazing to wear with high heels, boots, and cute flats!

The Cuff:

"Cuffing" your jeans at the bottom is a great way to make them friendly for the warmer weather while looking chic at the same time! You can do a cuff of all shapes and sizes!!!! Large cuffs at the bottom look more refined while smaller cuffs look more playful! It's a fun way to jazz up all of your jeans!

Bright and WHITE:

White jeans are our FAVORITE! There is nothing more chic or flattering than a great pair of white jeans! AND, you can wear them with almost any color! White is great with high heels or flats. CAUTION! Stay far aways from boots... Mixing white jeans and boots are a no-go.. two totalllllly different seasons. Also make sure your white jeans fit snug. They are meant to show off your cute legs, not add bulk!

Oh, Hey Hey There BOYFRIEND!!

Boyfriend jeans are SO FUN! We love these comfortable things! They are meant to fit loose! But not loose in the waist now... They fit the waist completely normal like your others would, but have a comfy baggy flair through out the rest of the legs. Now Boyfriend jeans are harder to pull off, but adding them with high heels, will most likely keep you in good shape. Heels help to lengthen your body which is just what you need when wear this cute lil' Denim number!
